Marta Greenwood
Originally from Iran, Marta Greenwood is a former medical nurse and midwife. After coming to London at the age of 19 and completing her studies, she made her home there, marrying and having children of her own. Later, Marta became critically ill with a life-threatening growth. The subsequent surgery was not completely successful, so she found herself exploring alternative healing methods for eighteen months.
Then someone told her about the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. This book is all about healing. Reading that book taught Marta about her own identity as a perfect child of God. She began identifying herself as the mirror image of divine perfection, and she soon started to feel an inner peace she had not felt before. Resting in this inner peace, her body resumed its normal action and she was healed.
This release from her long suffering made Marta want to learn more. She used the spiritual truths in Science and Health to see if she could heal other people — and it worked. She became a practitioner of Christian Science healing in 1996, and a teacher of its healing method in 2006.
Marta is fluent in both English and Farsi.
